Kevin Buchanan started with the original ‘Home Entertainment Inc.‘ in January of 1977 while in high school as support personnel. Upon graduating college with a degree in finance Kevin became youngest store manager in HEI′s 25 year history and after four more years was promoted to the manager of HEI′s flagship store. In 1991 Kevin conceived, designed, and created the Custom Installation Division of HEI.
Over the next five years Kevin‘s work was published twice on a national level by Audio Video Interiors magazine. So in 1996, when he started his own company near the Galleria, the most logical name for the company was ‘Audio Video Interiors.‘
By 2005 Kevin felt that the Houston market was not being served that segment of the market the original Home Entertainment, Inc. served. As a result he opened a retail store in the Woodlands and AVI became Home Entertainment Inc. Since opening in 2005, HEI has been selected twice as one of the Top 40 Hybrids (Custom / Retail) Dealers in the nation (2006 & 2007).
Kevin has a wealth of knowledge and 30 years of experience in the Audio Video Industry. Some of his unique specialties include but are not limited to media servers, control systems and digital home theaters. Kevin is THX certified and has been recognized nationally as a innovator with new technologies like Media Servers. In addition, Kevin will be featured in CEPro magazine slotted for Spring 2007.
